We’re delighted to be giving a full-strength concert this Christmas at St Michael’s in Lewes. It’s on Sunday 18th December at 6pm and the programme includes an eclectic mix of lovely seasonal music and carols.
Joining us are five fabulous players: violinists Julia Bishop and Ally Bury with Jan Schlapp on viola, Anna Holmes on Cello and Howard Beach playing Nick’s chamber organ. It’s a bit of a dream team! They will be accompanying us in Monteverdi’s Magnificat and a few other numbers, plus playing something on their own (gives the singers a break too!)
Nick and I enjoyed exploring some new material for this concert and we’re excited to be singing 21st-century pieces by Jonathan Dove, Will Todd and Ola Gjeilo alongside ‘Away in a Manger’ and Charpentier’s ‘In nativitatem domini’!
The concert is called Wonderland and yes, there is an arrangement of Winter Wonderland on the programme… we’re hoping plenty of people will want to join us in Wonderland!
Tickets are £15 (under 18s free) and will go on sale from early November at the Lewes Tourist Information Centre and at leweswonderland.eventbrite.co.uk
