A small group of us are singing a summer concert at the end of this month, which we’re calling My Spirit Sang All Day, after the song by Gerald Finzi which is on the programme.

We’re actually performing it twice – on Friday 29th July in St Nicholas Church in the lovely village of Iford just outside of Lewes, and on Saturday 30th at St Thomas’s Church in Lewes. Both concerts start at 7pm and tickets are on sale now. Profits will go towards the upkeep of the respective churches.

The programme will feature a few of the madrigals and part songs we sang at our February concert in Lewes, plus many more, including Henry Purcell’s I was glad which we’ve sung at Westminster Abbey, Elgar’s As Torrents in Summer, Stanford’s The Blue Bird and Paul Mealor’s She Walks in Beauty.
