We’re very excited about our forthcoming Christmas concert in Lewes – the central piece will be the popular Vivaldi Gloria, accompanied by single strings and conducted by Nick from his chamber organ, and led by Julia Bishop of Red Priest fame. Julia is a fine violinist and we’re delighted she agreed to play with us!
Other items on the programme are: Pachelbel Canon, Corelli Christmas Concerto, Lauridsen O Magnum Mysterium, Tavener The Lamb, a lovely version of Silent Night and other carols and seasonal songs.
The plan is to do it by candlelight – health & safety permitting! – and we’re seriously hoping for a sellout.
Sunday 21 December, 6pm (doors 5.30pm)
St Michael’s Church, High Street, Lewes
Tickets on sale at the Lewes Tourist Information Centre, price £10 (under 19s free). The tickets are numbered so when then sell out, that’s it and there won’t be any available on the night – so worth buying tickets early. And GETTING there early too – seats are unreserved and some have restricted views.
