Plans for 2013

Although we’re only an occasional choir we have some ambitious plans for 2013. We have not one but possibly two concerts in the pipeline, and another magical weekend planned at Westminster Abbey at the end of August.

But our first project is a recording. We have a number of rehearsal days planned in January and February, and towards the end of February we’ll be spending a weekend in the chapel at Hurstpierpoint College, recording a number of pieces with the help of former BBC sound engineer Richard Davis. We’ve made plenty of unofficial recordings over the years, but we never quite seem to capture it well. This is a chance for us to put down on a CD some of our repertoire, such as Arvo Part’s Which was the Son of… and two anthems by Clive Osgood, our accompanist, bass and very  talented composer.

We are a small group, and with two sopranos currently on maternity leave and another in Brazil at the time of the recording, things are pretty tight at the moment. Wish us luck!
